Topic: artificial intelligence
Assignments in many disciplines ask you to inform audiences about your topic. Can you think of any examples?
In this class, you will write an informative essay about artificial intelligence.
First, you will read and summarize the following articles:
- A.I. Here, There, Everywhere, New York Times
- Bing’s A.I. Chat: ‘I Want to Be Alive, New York Times
Finally, you will incorporate those 2 sources into your essay, and let your audience know what you learned from each one.
Your final essay should be 2-3 pages in length and include the following:
-an introduction with a hook
-summaries of the 2 sources, in your own words
-analysis of the 2 sources
-topic sentences for body paragraphs
– a comparison of the two sources
-a conclusion
Your essay should also follow MLA guidelines:
- essays should be written in 12-point font, preferably Times New Roman
- essays should be double-spaced
- include a descriptive title
- include name and page numbers on every page
- include a works cited page
We will have a peer review session during which classmates will comment on your essay and vice versa.
