Is Zoom Crushing Students’ Spirits?

In my opinion we can’t generalize when we talk about zoom crushing student’s spirits. We need to consider two important aspects when it comes to zoom/remote learning. First, Zoom has helped many of us in a difficult time for the whole world. It made possible for students to keep up with their studies, helped students who lived far away from their schools, and keep professors from losing their jobs. Also, many students continued getting high grades and being very participative in classes. In the other hand, many students didn’t take the best outcome from this situation. In some cases, not because they weren’t interested, but because they had difficulty learning through a monitor or they didn’t have the tools available to get the best out of it, but I must admit that some students had all the tolls to learn and be good students, but they just wanted to take the easy step. They just lying in their beds, didn’t do the homework and got sloppier since they didn’t have to wake up, get ready, and go to school.  In my opinion, we can’t just say that all students had their spirits crushed by zoom/remote learning. Some of them could have had, but some took the best of it, planning better the days, more time to spend studying or with the family since they didn’t have to go far to get to school.
