Spring 2023 ESL Lab information: 

  • ESL Lab (in-person and virtual) hours of operation                                                                                                                   Mon—Th 10:00 AM—8:00 PM   F—10:00 AM—4:00 PM   S—10:00 AM—4:00 PM
  • ESL Tutoring: In-person and online tutoring begins the week of 2/13/23. Online tutoring takes place on the BMCC Upswing website. Students use their BMCC student email username and password to log in. Sign up for weekly appointments. Register as early as possible, as space is limited.
  • Online writing and grammar resources: here is the link to online interactive activities connected to various text books.
    • Click on the “Sign in or register” button, and the user name is bmccesl6 and password is Bmccesllab6 (uppercase B). Select anything that looks useful.

Current Writing Center Schedule

Register for in-person or online tutoring on Upswing here. Sign in using their BMCC student account. Go to the tutoring tab and search for “writing coach only.” Writing coaches are available Monday to Saturday during the spring. After your session, send Prof. Barnes an email stating when you met with a tutor and what you worked on.

The Writing Center will host a series of students workshops to help reinforce important composition concepts. Students who register will receive a workshop link on the day of.
