Summary
I think zoom is a tool that was used with a purpose in a moment of need because of the corona virus everyone was terrified of getting close to another person, and that was affecting students who had to be in person to take their classes. Zoom help students in the moment that it was needed; however, we need to undestand that people are different and by knowing that we need to ask who is really zoom crushing. In the post ''Zoom Is Crushing'' Student Spirit, the author, professor Steven salzber talk about his all this zoom use that is killing the student passion, and how zoom was a terrible idea that is affecting students grades and health. I think that zoom does not just student it affect professors too and I would like to respond not to is zoom crushing student spirit but instead respond to who is zoom crushing.
Students and proffessors are all different from each other that also means that the way they learn and teach is different. Zoom is a useful tool for students that are outodidact or don't requier a sense of interaction with the professor that is the reason why some students choose online classes, save the trip to college, and can be able to manege their time betwen work and school. This types of students see zoom as the best shot for them. I think professors follow the same path but instead of outodidact we could say that there are some professors that have a tough time with technology and professors that don;t. for example, I have a classe that is asyncronous wich mean is not interaction with the professor byside a zoom meeting to ask cuestions wich does not work to well for me.
I think zoom is crunching students and professors that they process of learning and teaching is by interact in a room no through a camera were the conection, audio, and camera can fail at anytime making the teaching and learning process get interrupted and that's what I think is the real ussue that professor salzberg has with zoom.
