Final Reflection

 I learned a lot in this semester, and it was like a comeback after covid and now I know how it feels like to be a college student .In the first assignment I was a bit nervous since poetry wasn’t my area of interest, but honestly the blackout poem really helped me understand more about it. I think this semester I made the most progress in understanding the poems more and had a bigger connection to reading then ever before. I came to realize my style and tend to notice that I like to ask a question in my essays because I think it’s more interesting. I had a busy journey within these 15 weeks. I have college , work and was a bit of a challenge to be doing two things at once .

         The piece That I was most proud of was the 4-6 page paper and the script. It really made me enjoy time writing. The comments from peers boosted my confidence in that they agree with what I’m thinking and helped me understand more about the assignment. The writing skills that I have shown so far is at my best and don’t think I could have done better. To be honest I do like this assignment more than the others because i can express my feelings.

       One of my greatest challenges is to start an essay because you need to know how the best way to start is . My time management was quite a little issue but I think I did the best of my ability and there was a bit of genre that didn’t interest me as much comparing to the other ones.

At the end , I hope I pass my classes and this is a class I won’t forget because at the end it really made me learn things like time management and will make sure to do everything on time from now on.

Should college be free

What I think New Mexico plan to provide tuition free college to state residents is a good idea because students don’t get much money and depending on the college it’s really expensive. It should be a public resource to primary and secondary school because at least students would be able to afford going to college.I think our state should adapt to a similar plan because there would be a chance for allot of students to attend college and would be more affordable. I want to attend college because I would be able to get a degree at something and would be able to get a good job . It will help me get a high paying job and would have the knowledge to help others and would be able to understand what to do.

I think whoever is capable and whoever wants to get a good job should go to college because it will help them get high paying jobs.They should be teachers, doctors, lawyer,etc.I think allot of universities across US are declining because of tuition fees and how college is expensive and not affordable. I think it is important for them to make college free and I think allot of people will consider going to college.I think it is worth the cost because the more people you get the more money will be made rather than fewer people attending but increased tuition.I think it would be more realistic with having assistance like Washington and Tennessee. Some groups of people should be helped with paying college tuition and maybe it will be a little more affordable for people.

Feminism in Ichiyo

The female character could represent a mistress for the husband. It seems as it’s those times where the women have no say in the relationship and the men controlling the woman. I think they had to listen and obey to their husband but were tired of it. In Oseki case she ran away to her parents and tried to explain to them the situation.

Marxist in thirteenth night

The similarities between Isamu an Roku is that they are both hard workers and that they both fell in love with Oseki and the difference between them is that Roku like Oseki for who she is. Oseki learns about what happened to the restaurant that used to be there and also how hard of a worker Roku is. The significance of them meeting through the lens of Marxist theory is to show the difference between the two relationship and the way one treats her and the other.

Marriage proposal

Marriage proposals are when two people fall in love and have a healthy relationship in where they are ready to take their next step. In Chekovs play he shows us how people take advantage of each other for money. Rather than falling for somebody for the way they are they fall in love with gifts that are expensive . To me it’s wrong because money doesn’t buy you happiness and it’s like using someone just because you can’t afford those gifts. And the fact that it’s a big step in life and to not love each other for who they are is wrong. What I think should happen is for men to buy cheap gifts or no gifts and speak to each other and get to know each other better because it’s one of the key of love . At least it will make some ladies not be spoiled by gifts that they can’t afford.

Happy Endings

What made me choose this particular story is how it grabbed me in interest . When pressing it sounded mysterious and was interested. When I started reading it was as if it connected to me in some way. What factors that helped me choose was the title . Like I always wanted to know how the happy ending happens and if there is a happy ending.

What I think that Margaret was trying tell is that no matter what happens at the end of the day you will die and that’s how will it end. Like in the short story in all parts of the reading they die in the end but in their own ways. Each of them ended in different way like one killer his partner and himself , in another Mary died overdosing. But in the end was Margo left but her Fred didn’t make it no died as well. This tells us that at the end it’s either one dies or they both die .

What I think about this argument is that it is important to know why it happened. Is it because you did something wrong or how did it start that it turned into an argument. It is important to know how it happened then to know what happened because at least you know how it started and how it can get fixed. Even if you know what happened but you won’t know how it started .

In my opinion, I believe kids should know the truth . But also they should approach it carefully that it doesn’t affect them or hurt them . It’s important for kids to know the truth from there parents because they would be able to resolve the problem with their parents rather then someone else. Even if the truth hurts it better than lying or hiding something from your own child. Kids should know everything about life because they when they are older than can know how to resolve their life issues .On top of that teasing kids is wrong because it doesn’t teach them anything and it will just aggravate them, and to me I would feel made fun of in a way.
