“That is part of the beauty of all literature. You discover that your longings are universal longings, that you’re not lonely and isolated from anyone. You belong.” ~ F. Scott Fitzgerald

Final Day of Class Monday, January 25

Congratulations on completing this short and very intensive 3-week Introduction to Literature course. This was a very demanding course, and the fact that you have passed demonstrates strong commitment to your academic goals.

Note: If you have not yet taken the final quiz, be sure to do so by 5:00  p.m. Monday, January 25. A large portion of the quiz will be on Poetry. You will have 90 minutes to complete the 25-question multiple-choice test.

Thank you for your hard work and dedication to this course.

During weeks 5 and 6,  we will be reading a short novel The House on Mango Street by Sandra Cisneros. A PDF of the book will be available through the course, but some students might prefer to have an actual copy of the book. You can get a very inexpensive copy of the book through Amazon and other online booksellers; however, be sure to do so right away so you won’t forget and will have it in time.

IMPORTANT: If you are new to BMCC, you may not have an ID card yet. The barcode on the ID card is your access to the BMCC online library. You will need access to the library for The Week 2 writing assignment. To gain entry without an ID card, please submit the following form. Processing may take a day or two, so please send the request this week, rather than next.
