Manika Homere, discussion 4

Reading a poem can be motivational, providing thinking on how to question the narrator’s actions, this also can help you find new angles and go deeper. regularly reading, poetry can help you regain control of your fears, anxieties, and old memories. and dramatically change how you perceive old ideas, and think of new ones.

2. The poem ” Shall  I Compare Thee to a Summer’s Day” by William Shakespeare is, a short poem filled with expressive emotions and deep feelings the author expresses his affection towards another person. From my perceptive, I could say this poem is a therapy in how the main theme of this poem is ” Love and beauty” . This poem has figurative language and metaphors that could make the point that the author wanted all of us to understand clearly. The theme that Shakespeare is asserting in “Sonnet 18 is” So long as men can breathe, or eyes can see, So long lives this, and this gives life to thee.” I am beyond touched by this poem in how I could have an idea of how long his love will really last and my experiences by reading it, I take time to know the meaning of each line even shows me poetry is a piece of mind filled with joy and happiness.
