Welcome to Week 1 of ENG 101 English Composition on the OpenLab platform. I look forward to short but exciting semester as you find explore your own thoughts and opinions and find your authentic voice as a writer of essays.
This week we will acquaint ourselves with the OpenLab course site and how it interacts with Brightspace. You will get to know one another and will be introduced to members of your 101 Group, who will be your study partners throughout the semester.
Later in the class, we will be reviewing topics such as essay structure, critical think, and point of view. Class writing will be based on a reading of the short story-poem “Girl” by Jamaica Kincaid.\
