This course is an 8-week intensive, synchronous online course,  which runs from Tuesday, March 24th, through Tuesday, May 20th.

The workload is equivalent to that of a full 15-week course. There are two 4-hour Zoom sessions each week (Monday and Wednesday 10:00 a.m. to 1:55 p.m.). These are lengthy sessions that will be divided into the following segments, at times involving group work: 1 hour instruction; 1 hour reading; 1 hour writing; 1 hour class review and assessment. This is a general structural guideline that may change slightly depending on the day’s course material. Students should be prepared to participate in each multi-hour session.

All course activities are houses on the OpenLab platform, not on Brightspace. OpenLab is user-friendly online platform on which the College’s students, faculty and staff can come together to learn, work, play and share ideas. However, you will still use Brightspace to submit written work and take quizzes. You can also visit your Brightspace course to check your grades in the Grade Center.
