Dear Adichie,
I’m writing this letter to you regarding your TedTalk that focuses on feminism. I came to tell you that I totally agree with everything you stated and I relate to it as well. I related to the part where you said us born as females, males or even our own parents make us feel guilty of something without doing anything. I feel like we all felt that way in our life because of the way we grew up but that doesn’t make it right. Nothing really shocked me besides the fact that everything you said was accurate, we all relate to everything at a certain point. I highly agree on the recommendation you made on trying to make a change instead of accepting these norms. How about we make a change and show our future generations that yes biologically we are different but we are equal too, women shouldn’t only want a family but a man should desire for it too. Not only should a man pay for a date but a woman as well. Male, women just people in general should have the choice to do whatever they want to do. Women should have a voice and this TedTalk was really good, I enjoyed it. Thank you.
Sincerely, Melanie Olivares Santana
