Women in Economics Symposium: Role Models Matter

On Thursday, February 23, 2023, the Economics Equality and Environment Club hosted a Watch Party for the Women in Economics Symposium which took place at the Federal Reserve Bank of St. Louis. The Watch Party which was hosted inside the main BMCC campus started at 4:20 p.m. and continued until the end of the event (7:00PM). 2023 Women in Economics Symposium” Watch Party gave people the chance to listen to a diverse group of women economists as they shared their stories, insights, and experiences in the field. These role models with fascinating careers in economics gave some talked about some practical tips about job searching, finding a mentor and more and will left many of the attendees inspired with their innovative ideas and groundbreaking research.

Whether you’re a student, an economist, or simply someone interested in how the involvement of economics plays a role in our everyday activities, this talk was something not to be missed.
