Welcome to the Economics, Equality and Environment Club!
Our mission is to educate and encourage students to take action on economic, social, and environmental issues that affect life on Earth. We believe that by working towards the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, we can create a more sustainable and just future for all.
Our club explores how economic, political, and social indicators impact environmental performance, using annual data from 163+ developed and developing countries from. We focus on how factors such as ethnic fractionalization, political freedom, financial development, and institutional quality influence CO2 emissions.
Through panel discussions, field trips, experiential and action learning opportunities, we aim to provide a space for students to learn about current economic, social, and environmental issues and take action towards creating a more sustainable future. We also promote initiatives such as reducing food waste and promoting composting on campus, which can have a significant impact on reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting more sustainable food systems.
Our club is open to all students who are interested in learning about and taking action on economic, social, and environmental issues. We believe that by working together towards a common goal, we can create positive change and make a difference in our community and beyond.
