This week’s curriculum taught me about baby sensory learning. How attentive and sensitive we must be when it comes to a baby’s skin. I learned about how babies can learn sounds, how sensitive they are to odors, and how clever they are at identifying the smells of their loved ones, as well as Piaget and Vygotsky’s theory. I also learned how critical it is for children to have learning aid. These details will be extremely useful in the future when it comes to knowing how to approach children and being a mentor and supportive teacher to them.
this week I learned about how babies see the world, and how their senses develop. this is connected to my goals because it is important to view the world from their perspective sometimes as well to help understand them in order to be the best teacher and caregiver possible.
This week I learned that baby’s can pick up harsh sounds and that their skin is very sensitive and we need to be extra careful with them. I learned that they senses play a major role for them in life to later use. That is how they explore the world.
This week I learned that baby’s will climb and put things in their mouth. Babies are gonna do what they wanna do and you are just going to have to guide them in the right direction. If you have to tell them something 100 times you keep telling him and eventually did they get it. I also learned that babies learn from themselves and they are very funny in their own way.

I learned that infants reach different milestones at different points in their life based on their own personal development and progress. It has become clear to me based on this week’s module that there is no time limit when a child will reach a certain milestone . Each child is different , so parents should not worry if their child does not reach specific milestones at the exact time period that they are expected to .
Materials from this module will help me meet my goals because I am now able to meet every child where they are. Instead of forcing old children to be at the same level based on milestone expectations for their age.
