Assignment #2: Play Materials Zine

This is the 3rd week we are working on our Play Materials Zine articles! Congratulations!

What should you do with your play materials zine this week?

  • Has your group decided on a play material to focus on? Look in Module 4 Assignment #3 for a list of play materials to choose from
  • Did you look in the Google folder for your group? Check your email (send me your preferred email if you want a different email) for the link to your group’s Google Folder
  • What is your assigned color? Check your email (the same email with the link for your Google folder) to see what color you were assigned
  • Have you added material to the Google documents in your Google folder? Complete the tasks assigned to your color for Module 7 (look back at Module 5 & 6 too)
  • Next week I will offer sessions on how to use Flipsnack!

Assignment #3: Interview with Family of Infant Paper

You will take the data from your interview with the family of an infant and transform it into your Interview with the Family of an Infant Paper.

Below are resources that should help you write your Interview with the Family of an Infant Paper

These are guidelines for writing your Interview with the Family of an Infant Paper. Here is a Power Point on the Paper — I narrate the Power Point in this video.

This is a sample Interview with the Family of an Infant Paper that may help as you write your paper.           Please remember that the author asked the family a different set of questions.

This chart may support you in writing your paper.  It is optional and for your personal use; you do not need to submit the chart to me.

Submit your paper on Blackboard for ECE 209-Lecture (in the “Assignments” section, under “Interview with the Family of an Infant”).

 Assignment #4: Self-Assessment

At the end of the semester you will determine your grade for ECE 209 based on your self-assessment of what you have learned. In preparation for your self-assessment, answer the questions below; you will answer these questions at the end of each module so you have a record of what you have learned over the semester. You can answer the questions here on Open Lab or create a journal on Blackboard (which would be private).

  • What did you learn in this module?
    • Information/ knowledge
    • Skills
    • Insights (connections you made or “ah-ha’s” you had about the material)
