During my final week of my internship , I started to become more familiar with terminologies of different pathologies and disciplines that are easily misinterpreted or pronounced regularly . Through my experience in this internship , I have been focusing on how to effectively communicate with the patients and ensure they are fully aware of they are being told and what they need to communicate as well verbally . However, it wasn’t until my last week , I was able to put my translation skills in other areas outside of medical terminology to work by helping a staff member with translating some things on divorce papers the person wasn’t too sure about .
