Look at the midterm review classwork from 3/12. See what your classmates have posted. On a piece of paper, write a note to me explaining which assignment has been the most relevant to your life.
With your group members, create a survey about your classmates’ experience at BMCC. Include at least 3-5 questions. Next, interview at least 3-5 classmates. Submit a report here, by commenting on my post.

I liked knowing the experience of my classmates at Bmcc, I agreed with many of their answers and they talk about there experience with their teachers. I learned that in bmcc it is something much bigger than I thought. They make plays, theader, football games and presentations for other students. One of my questions that caught my attention the most was, what we would change of Bmcc, and we talked about how the buildings should be together in a single field. We talked about how there are good teachers who help us and teachers who are difficult to deal with. We talk about the good projects we have done in class and more. I talk to Bill, Bianca, Ashly and Christian.
Today, I interviewed three classmates: Kiara, Ana, and Alzura. To begin with, I was impressed by their commitment to furthering their education at BMCC, with some of them aiming for careers in the medical field while others are still exploring their options. During the interview, I found common ground with a partner who, like me, have as favorite class CRT. We both love the flow of our hour and fifteen-minute class sessions, where active participation is encouraged from everyone. The interactive nature of the class, particularly during small interviews, enhances in a powerful manner the learning experience for all of us, though! Next, it was really interesting to realized that some of my partners are experience their language as a course, know a profound background about your culture might open new doors eventually. Perhaps you end up studying your language as a priority to then aspire for your bachelor, who knows? Last but not least, one thing that make me dissident is that there’s fewer financial resources for international students at BMCC; in other words, the majority have to pay out of the pocket in order to cover their tuition. In comparison to other students, who are receiving a considerable amount of money, including myself in that box, it’s kinda undair tho! Of course, I recognize that we all have different circumstances , but it’s hard not to feel a bit frustrated when there seems to be such a gap in resources available to us. And that’s is something that we, as students, would like to change at BMCC.
Thank you,
-Bill
I interviewed five students during class on Thursday and it was refreshing to hear that they were all happy with their experience so far at BMCC. None of them expressed that they would change something about the school because they all agreed that BMCC has a lot to offer. Most of the students that I interviewed liked their teachers and acknowledged that teachers have their own style of teaching. They only wish that the grade distribution for the courses was balanced–meaning having all the categories weigh the same. They would also like more freedom/originality in their writing so they can voice their opinions without being penalized for it.
Based on the people I interviewed in class and the questions I asked, some students said they do not face many challenges at BMCC. However, many students did say that getting in contact with their academic advisor was a struggle. This is a major problem that BMCC encounters because if a student can not contact their advisors throughout the semester it can become challenging for them and they may feel like they have no support or help from the school, which can later cause a bad reputation for the college causing students to fall back on their class workload, potentially losing interest in school. I do not face this problem because through one of the services BMCC offers us students, “College Discovery” I must meet with my academic advisor at least once a month. Some other challenges mentioned were that students wish professors could be more flexible with their paper structure, where they can have the opportunity to express their ideas freely without having to follow a specific outline of what questions must be answered to get a passing grade, rather than letting the student write their paper on how they interpreted the assignment. Something they would change about BMCC is, making the grading system be divided equally through all courses and expectations. For example, making each part of their grading distribution 20% equaling 100% at the end, this way each category has a fair play at the overall grade. Some extracurricular activities that students have participated in are panther partners, volunteer work for the school, taking pictures of the sports teams such as volleyball and basketball, as well as participating in a BMCC sports team.
