The Burden of proof fallacy is when someone argues a point that they have is correct, but they cannot prove that they are right through evidence so they rely on the other party to prove that they are wrong. An example of this is someone saying something inaccurate like “Donald Trump won the 2020 presidential election and Joe Biden did not win the election”. Instead of trying to show proof that Donald Trump won the election, the person would instead ask someone else to proof to them that Donald trump did not win the election, and they would counter any logical proof of the truth with asking you to prove it to them, even though Joe Biden has already been sworn in as president.
