The total population of Queens, according to New York neighborhood data profile, in 2021, was an estimated 2,331,143 people in Queens, of which 25.6% identified as Asian, 16.3% identified as Black, 28.1% identified as Hispanic, and 23.7% identified as white. As for housing you can find a variety of options such as single-family homes, apartments, and multi-unit buildings. Many own houses or rent apartments or live in public housing developments. In terms of income levels, Queens has a mix of both Middle-income and high-income households.

The data table above shows how Hispanics are the majority population then followed by Asains, Whites and Black people. 

Median household income in 2021 was $77,730, about 8% more than citywide median household income ($72,150). The poverty rate in Queens was 13.5% in 2021 compared to 18.0% citywide.

The data above shows how Queens falls below the 18% rate of poverty compared to citywide that it is exact to 18% rate. 

The most common types of crimes in the area of Queens according to NYC compstat are crimes such as theft, burglary, and vandalism, incidents of assault or drug-related offenses, although they are less likely as the rest. The New York neighborhood data profiles, states The serious crime rate was 10.8 serious crimes per 1,000 residents in 2022, compared to 14.2 serious crimes per 1,000 residents citywide.
