I was surprised to see that the percentage of housing owners hasn’t changed, it has stayed in the mid 20s percent since 2000. For the past 20 years the neighborhood has not seen many new home owners.

The number of shooting victims in the area covered by the NYPD 75th will increase from 2021 till around the year 2024, if you look at the shooting victims numbers throughout the years there seems to be a slow increase in the number of victims then a spike for one year then a decrease after. 

Why are the number of 2022 shooting incidents in the area covered by the NYPD 75th precinct rising from the numbers which were reported in 2021?

The number of shooting incidents in the East New York area covered by the 75th precinct seem to have a pattern of decreasing then increasing. In the recent years the number of incidents seem to decrease for 1 to 3 years then spike up for 1 year., then the pattern repeats itself.

For my research project I chose the 75th precinct in the East New York, New York. I will be looking into shootings data
