Hi Everyone: How are you all doing? I know this is a tough part of the semester: after the intensive midterm time, before Spring Break which is late this year–I am sure you could all use the break sooner. That said, our work on the argument essay, the biggest assignment in this course, continues. I enjoyed reading your summary and response assignments, which were great, overall. If you took the CQ Researcher quiz, I assume you are now comfortable with researching your topic via the BMCC database, CQ Researcher and/ or Opposing Viewpoints.
I am concerned about those of you who haven’t completed those two assignments, as they are stepping stones to the next stage: essay outline, draft, peer review, annotated bibliography, and the essay itself. If you are behind, please meet with me so that we can discuss your plan for completing this work.
I will hold a Zoom social hour/ argument essay info session this coming Monday, April 1st–April Fool’s Day jokes welcome! Sending a separate announcement about this session, but this will be 10am to 11am, using the same link as for my office hour. Everyone is welcome, regardless of where you are in the essay journey: behind, on schedule ahead!
