From my point of view the sole purpose of the song from Beyonce is to motivate people to fight for what rights and be confident. Beyonce lyrics show strong emotive language in her lyrics. I believe the song and music video became controversial because Beyonce was speaking out and standing up whilst also encouraging people to do the same as well.
