Summary

I chose The black or white fallacy, also known as false division, is a logical fallacy that presents two options as the only possibilities, when in reality there are many more options available. This fallacy simplifies complex issues by forcing them into an either or perspective, and with no difference. One example is climate change, this type of defective reasoning can be seen in discussions surrounding climate change, where individuals may argue that the Earth is either warming significantly due to human activities or not warming at all. This exaggeration of the issue ignores the complexity of climate patterns and the various contributing factors at play.
Climate change is the argument that extreme weather events are just a result of human influence global warming. While it is true that climate change can make worse certain weather patterns, it is overly simplistic to attribute every single storm to human activity. Other natural factors, such as cyclical weather patterns and change in solar activity, also play a role in shaping the Earth's climate.
