Summary
Happiness, what is happiness? A feeling of well-being can define happiness but also an absence of stress, worry, and negativity. But is it familiar to everyone or what can make us happy? Each person has their perception of what happiness is. As an answer, some say that money brings happiness. This is a very famous answer but in my opinion, is not true. Money does not completely guarantee happiness. Having money can help meet your needs, even the craziest ones, which we have always dreamed of, but even with all the gold in the world we may not be happy. That can be justified by a CNBC article titled “From the ‘perfect’ salary to keeping up with the Joneses, here’s how money really affects your happiness” by Cory Stieg. In that article, there is a passage saying that: “ People’s emotional well-being, or how they felt on a daily basis, didn’t improve as they made more than $75,000, but their life satisfaction, or how happy they were with their life overall, did. Happiness comes from more than just money. It's about having good relationships, feeling fulfilled, and being healthy. Close connections with others make us feel supported and happy. Doing things we love and achieving goals also brings happiness, even if it doesn't make us rich. And being healthy is important for enjoying life fully. While money can help, true happiness comes from these things that money can't buy. Some people think that spending money can make them happy, but it's not that simple. While having money can help buy things that bring joy, like going on trips or buying gifts for loved ones, it doesn't always guarantee happiness. It's more about how we spend our money. For example, using money to do things we love or to help others can bring more happiness than just buying stuff. Plus, things like having good friends and feeling fulfilled in our lives are also important for happiness, and money can't buy those things. That is what was discussed in the article. In Cory’s Stieg article, there was a statement by Lyubomirsky saying: “How you spend your money is really critical to your happiness” So, while money can play a part in happiness, it's not the only thing that matters.

I agreed with your perspective on happiness. Money does provide comfort and security but it doesn’t guarantee genuine happiness. I also included the same article “From the ‘perfect’ salary to keeping up with the Joneses, here’s how money really affects your happiness” by Cory Stieg which highlights how emotional well-being doesn’t necessarily improve with higher income after a certain point. its important to put more focus into relationships and personal fulfillment and health to have happiness. Spending money on experiences and helping others can bring more joy than material things. Ultimately, true happiness will come from within and involves finding meaning and purpose within life’s experiences and connections.
