Critical thinking involves the ability to thoughtfully and logically analyze ideas and be able to make a connection between them. It requires careful examination to form properly constructed judgments piecing together various pieces of information. I applied my critical thinking skills while reaching this conclusion, finding common ground and using information from both speakers i was able to realize Dr. Richard Paul’s quote in the first video, stating that “critical thinking is the art of analyzing and evaluating thinking to improve it,” sheds light on what critical thinking means. Describing it as an art that needs practice for mastery, critical thinking involves evaluating thinking and reasoning to enhance its quality, fostering better understanding among individuals. The second speaker emphasized on the importance of learning how to think independently, rather than being told what or how to think. He highlights how acquiring these skills would enable the development of clear and logical thoughts and arguments, especially in recognizing and addressing questionable reasoning, especially involving ourselves and the bias we might bring. I agree with both speakers as their perspectives aligned with what i gathered my own understanding of critical thinking to be, which I believe is crucial for effective communication and problem-solving.

OMG your work is amazing actually. At first, I thought it would be a bit much to read (That’s only because I hate reading) BUT your work is so explained and detailed. Your definition and how you introduce everything and then add in the focus of the discussion in later. Also, I love how it is the correct number of words in your writing. Do make sure your “i” in your sentences is more of a “I”. Do when explaining the first and second speaker try to introduce who exactly they are. Your quote explaining is pretty good. I agree with your opinion reasoning too.
