Summary
In my opinion, critical thinking is the way we analyze, examine, or think about something. According to the two speakers, each of them has his one way of defining the term critical thinking. While the first one Gary Meegan said that critical thinking was an art and it helps us understand how someone thinking or actions reflect how they see the world, Jesse Richardson defined it as the fact of knowing how to think. According to the two speakers, critical thinking is important because it helps us not only investigate our thinking but also the thinking of others. Also, it does help us know how to think instead of only what to think. I do agree with them because thinking carefully is important because it helps us understand not just what to think but how to think about things. It's like learning to ask questions, look at information, and smartly decide things. This skill is super useful for fixing problems, talking clearly, and handling new stuff. It also stops us from getting tricked and makes us want to keep learning. When we know how to think well, it makes us better at what we do.

your opinion of what critical thinking is seems to align to my own , it does greatly have to do with analyzing and thinking about something not only that but I agreed and also included in my own conversation how in the first source it mentions that as you continue to practice thinking critically not only does it help you understand yourself but it can help you understand others as well like u mentioned. I like your perspective and i also feel like gaining the skill to think well will have a positive effect on things like problem solving and taking on new things.
I really like your way of definition not because it is different from what I’ve read so far but it’s very straightforward. Again, I love how you pointed out that how there are two speakers, and they have their own way of defining critical thinking. This is something I actually wish I did in my discussion summary to improve and show what I clearly want to focus on discussing. I do think that in your 2-3 sentence when you said, “first one” It would be best to say “first speaker” just so it is clear. I actually like how you explained what both speakers are defining critical thinking as. I do agree with your opinion too and your explanation. Remember just to let you know that you are off by 5 words since it has to be 200 words in total to receive credit and you have a total of 195 words, I do again love your discussion summary. (❁´◡`❁) Honestly, I liked your work, and this taught me a lot and makes me want to improve mines a bit.
Exceptionally good point! Thinking well and going into an in-depth level of analysis is definitely crucial in problem solving and avoiding falling into being tricked/deceived. We see it all the time in situations where people do not feel they have the time to think about a decision and fall into some sort of deception or incorrect choice, and although sometimes decisions have to be made quickly, being able to step back and asses a situation critically allows for us to be able to better handle not only day to day events, but crucial life choices that need to be addressed in a moment. Exercising one’s own ability to think critically will only allow for a swifter and more accurate assessment of what a certain situation calls for. Thank you for your post Diongue!
