Summary
Critical thinking is the analysis and evaluation of ideas and how we adjust them accordingly. from the videos, the two speakers define critical thinking as the art of analyzing and evaluating with a view to improve our thoughts, it teaches us how to question things precisely. According to the speakers, critical thinking is important because it will help us formulate well-reasoned and coherent thoughts and arguments; most importantly how to identify mistakes. When we acquire critical thinking skills, we become self-aware, we will learn to understand that it is okay to be wrong. For example, when making decisions, we focus on details based on facts rather than assumptions and because the decisions we make can affect our quality of life. I agree with the speakers, critical thinking teaches us to grow, improve and become aware of our thinking. It also helps us to understand other people thoughts and opinions and be better analyzer and evaluator. It has the effect to self-reflect and justify our ways of life and opinions, it encourages us to make our own decisions despite if is wrong or good and it make us trust more in ourselves. And lastly, not only teach us about ourselves but about life overall.

I like your definition of critical thinking. I do believe there are some grammar errors. Also, I do feel like the two speakers had a different way of defining critical thinking although they both found it important. I feel like you need to explain both speakers separately because that was entirely the purpose of the discussion question. Also, when explaining speakers, you have to realize that you’re talking about two people therefore it is only right for you to explain who these Indvidual’s are with a name rather than keeping them anonymous. Like someone might not know who you’re referring to if you were speaking to an audience. I really like how you use the things speakers have said in your discussion. I honestly like your opinion but, going back to my point and I’m just saying this even if it may be a discussion assignment it is better to
1. refer to who is your speaker is and explain what both sides think. I feel you sort of wrapped everything together in a paragraph but just calling them speakers. Although I watched the video so I know who you refer to in parts of your discussion but to someone who hasn’t watched the speaker’s video they may be left confused. And I’m just saying this and last but not least I love how you have exactly or at least more than 200 words and how you followed instructions on how to set this discussion up.
(I’m sorry for the straightforwardness I do feel like sometimes anyone would think I’m judging this, and people quite hate me for looking for negative things more but I’m just trying to get this assignment done with and prove my usefulness by explaining how to improve things 😭 and I’m just saying but I actually find this easy to read compared to mines) ( ´_ゝ` )┐
It is great that you highlighted the ability that critical thinking has to allow for better understanding of other people’s thoughts and points of view. It is probably one of its strongest assets other than it is helping us understand ourselves better. It is kind of wild how we can naturally base things off of our own assumptions so easily, and we all do it of course as humans, the importance of being able to step outside of oneself and looking at what is often spoken of as “The bigger picture” is something that is shown through critical thinking and I’m learning that it take a pretty intense amount of exercise to do so as efficiently as possible. Well done Idalmi!
