Fahriya Chowdhury #Morality

The movie that I chose is “Parasite”. This movie represents a poor family who is struggling to survive in this world. To overcome all these obstacles, son ki woo took a step toward teaching English to the daughter of the wealthy park family. But the problem was he had no experience teaching English. As a result, to get the job he decided to make a fake profile of himself where he shows his fake academic accomplishment. The moral position that the movie brings out the most is,” I would do whatever would improve my own situation”. To live a comfortable life Ki Woo took this step for himself and his family. He didn’t think twice about the girl’s education. If I was in his shoes I might do the same. I pretty much think this is similar to white lies. I feel like, in reality, we all put ourselves in these moral positions to make a comfortable lifestyle for ourselves and our families.  Therefore my moral value is that until the consequence creates major issues or harms someone and if this is a question of my own survival, I would do anything that will enhance my condition.
