The movie “Moonlight” is centered on the life of Chiron, a young African American boy, going from when he was a child to an adult. The movie focuses on Chiron’s life being affected due to his sexuality and his relationship with his mother. A moral dilemma in this movie would be when Kevin is made by some bullies to beat Chiron, because if Kevin refuses then he would be a target of bullying but if he complies then he ruins his friendship with Chiron. The possible outcomes of this dilemma would be numbers 3 and 6. Unfortunately, Kevin is peer pressured into beating Chiron but tries to help by telling Chiron to just give up so it can end easy. In this situation I would just go as fast as I could to tell a teacher/parent or go warn Chiron about it. My moral values are that I’m not going to be doing someone’s dirty work and harm someone who is completely innocent.

Hi Kelly, I do agree with your post when you said “My moral values are that I’m not going to be doing someone’s dirty work and harm someone who is completely innocent”. It is ashamed to do something uncomfortable to someone that could end a friendship.
I really really wanted to watch moonlight unfortunately it was taken off of Kanopy so I wasn’t able to but with your response I feel as though I didn’t miss out on that opportunity to watch at all.. I enjoyed how descriptive
you became and utilized what you knew to be the idea of mortality as well
Hello Kelly, I didn’t choose this movie for the discussion board, but I have watched it before. I also agree that Kevin made the decision to listen to the bullies based on the moral position #3. Kevin did what he knew would improve his situation, he did not want to be seen as weak or become the next target.
Hello Kelly
You were straight forward with you responses which make it easier to read and understand. I agree with your moral decision of not hurting innocent people.
