In “TEDTalk” Barry Schwartz discussed the paradox of choices in his video. His stated that his conclusion was the more opportunities we have, the more we feel like we desire better things while that gives us that clear indication we’ll never feel happy about the choices we make in life. He support his idea with his story about his jeans that were perfect for him in the past. One day he went to the store to buy new jeans and he was presented with many others jeans to buy so he decided to buy the best one he thought. But his realized that he could have gotten a better pair then the one he already bought in which told his audience that he wasn’t too happy about the choice he made.
I agree with Mr.Schwartz about the statement about the choices we have make in life just simply increases our expectation on things. In my own experiences I’ve dealt with buying a video game I would be playing. So I bought a game called NBA2K22 and after few months later I feel like my expectation was too high for the game itself because I would think the game is gonna be so good to play but turned out it was bad. So nowadays I would really think about which game I really wanna play and pay for now.
In the article about “From the perfect salary to keeping up with the Joneses, here’s how money really affects your affects your happiness their conclusion is money doesn’t make us happier. Their premises were establishing that people that didn’t have money as much are more happy then people who have a lot of people, also stated the richest people will be unhappy regardless the amount of money they own and lastly they said and showed people saying their own desirable yearly salary they would want are really high in numbers. Most of times people will see others having a better life and they would want to be like them.
I agree with every single detailed they explained in the video because I feel that people do jobs that give them alot of money than happiness. They would sacrifice everything for money. From my experiences I’ve seen it and heard it really. I believe that a better life is working at a job you really like.

Hello Alex! I think you are right that having high expectations for getting something could sometimes mean the wrong thing. However, maybe if your expectations were low, you could have enjoyed it better. Thank you
Hi Alex, I agree with you that the more choices that are given to us, our expectations are increased along with it. I feel that when that occurs, people become more strict or even meticulous when it comes to making the right choice. It can vary from clothes, food and even the relationships they want to form with other people.
Hey Alex,
I agree with you that many choose a job because of the salary. Many people are unhappy with their life and job even though they make a lot of money. One should take a job they are passionate about.
Another point I would like to mention is the key to happiness is low expectations. If your expectations are low you can never really be disappointed.
