The Faculty Collaboratory hosts events and seminars that provide space for faculty across disciplines to discuss teaching and learning, share resources, and exchange ideas.
We support teaching and learning across modalities (online, face-to-face, hybrid) and center anti-racist, culturally sustaining, and trauma informed approaches to teaching and learning. We have a team of learning experience designers who can meet with you to discuss online course design and designing assignments that incorporate digital tools. We offer ongoing professional development seminars, workshops, and discussions on a variety of topics related to teaching and learning.
Current programming includes Open Teaching Week, open education seminars, and Teaching in the Age of AI, the Brightspace Bistro, and other faculty-led conversations that take place throughout the academic year.
We welcome your programming ideas! Email us at FacultyCollaboratory@bmcc.cuny.edu if you’d like to lead a conversation or propose a topic.
