Honors Scholars Program
The BMCC Honors Scholars Program is tailored to offer high achieving students more freedom to engage in academic exploration and interdisciplinary connections as they relate to their majors, their professional goals, and personal interests. Each semester, BMCC offers honors classes in a variety of subjects. The Honors Scholars Programs partners with the Faculty Collaboratory to offer workshops and support for faculty interested in teaching honors classes.

Writing Across the Curriculum
Recognizing that writing develops skills in critical thinking and idea generation, as well as logical organization, development and support for ideas, the BMCC Writing Across the Curriculum (WAC) program works with faculty across academic disciplines to embed diverse writing assignments and process-oriented pedagogical strategies directly into course curricula, thereby fostering active, critical learning and moving beyond writing as solely an assessment tool.
