Gina has worked in higher education for more than 20 years, bringing experience from a variety of roles, including educational technologist, researcher, and faculty member. Before joining BMCC in 2016, Gina was a founding co-director of Hunter’s Academic Center for Excellence in Research and Teaching (ACERT), a research scientist at the University of Washington, and a tenant organizer in San Francisco. Gina holds a Master’s in Social Welfare from the University of California, Berkeley and a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Colorado, Boulder.

Tom has taught with and supported the implementation of instructional technologies at CUNY since 2004 when he started as a student at the Graduate Center. At Baruch College he taught history and served as a technology fellow in the Bernard L. Schwartz Communication Institute from 2006-2014. He has worked at BMCC since 2018, starting as an instructional designer and now directing the Digital Education Center. Outside of CUNY, Tom has been managing editor of the Radical History Review since 2005.
