Statement of the Problem

Children often fall behind without proper assistance.
  1. The prevalence of bias testing in early childhood limits the resources available to the child, causing them to fall behind and negatively impacts their cognitive development.
  2. Children who fail assessments often miss out on Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), causing stress for parents and hindering their child from developing alongside their peers.
  3. The child is most affected by this injustice because they are not able to receive a proper education as well as have trouble integrating into the community.
  4. Parents should step in to avoid negative consequences of not receiving an IEP ASAP. The sooner the better it is for the child to get as much assistance as possible.
  5. To address the issue, increased awareness of children’s needs, involving families and educators, is crucial for administration to assess and prevent outrage since injustices happen all the time. For instance: a parent trying to get an IEP for their child’s autism may be having a good day and not exhibit as many symptoms as they usually would.
