Misinformation and how different types of biases infect social media both intentionally and accidentally was written by a computer science experts Giovanni Luca Ciampaglia and Filippo Menczer on June 20, 2018.They profiled three different biases the affect the way contain wrong information on the social media. The biases in the brain mess with our brain and controlled our mind on how we deal with the among of information in which can cost information overload the information we gather from the media can easily affect us. Too much stimulation can affect satin bias. biases in the society have a lot of impact on us in the society, according to the research people on social media tend to particularly efficient disseminating information whether is right or wrong. Everyone has biases and they activate involuntarily and without conscious awareness or intentional control. Biases in the machine is the third group of bias generally stem from trouble people who can create biases because they use incomplete profile to share fake information or scam people without their knowledge. This promotes negative Contente and affect overall quality information on the platforms.
We need to train our brain to confirm information before sharing them in order to avoid giving out information that are not meant for the public. So many people have been a victim of misinformation through social media because people enjoy believing anything they see on the internet and the sad truth is many people want to be the fake people they see on the internet some of them are not happy the way they’re but rather compare themself false images, mostly photoshopped.

Hi Kaddijatou I agree with you, People sometimes in order to feel that the fit in society they do stuff without thinking and sharing misinformation it’s one those ways. Some people believe if they do certain things, they we be accepted by society. but in reality, when sharing that misinformation, they are just causing more damage to the world and society. As you said, people have been victims of misinformation because they pay more attention to erroneous information which causes more people to get the erroneous information.
I agree with your statement of training our brains into confirming information’s. Because many of us if not all fall victim to fake news. For example, in politics if a certain party, is not fond of a politician they’ll create articles. Many times, these articles, have false statements, and lack evidence. But many of us believe in them, we believe they are credible sources. And that’s another growing problem, the lack of there being credible sources.
