Shannon at first felt really confident in her writing abilities, but after her proficiency test, she was left confused. She was confused on how she even got a lower score on the English part of the test. It left her questioning if she was even a good writer. She doubted her self a lot, and started to hate writing.

Shannon felt that tests were easy for her. She had no stress about anything, because she knew she would score higher. But when took the English section of her standardized, she started to dislike everything writing. She didn’t take writing seriously. She also criticized people graded the tests, and said they had no idea what good writing was. She started to hate standardized tests all together.
5. Has there been a time in your life when you doubted your abilities as a writer or in general? Explain.
Yes, there’s has been a time in my life where I doubted my writing abilities. When I was younger I use to doubt my writing skills a lot. I felt like I couldn’t answer the questions right, or be specific about anything. It was confusing to me. I hated that I couldn’t express myself through writing the way I wanted to.
6. How do you feel about your writing abilities?
I feel that my writing skills are decent enough to score a good grade. I have improved a lot more from when I was younger, and I’m proud of myself.
