Summary
"The Danger Of A Single Story" Ted Talk is about a storyteller named Chimamanda Adichie. She finds her self telling her up come to an audience. She speaks about where she grew up, how things were once she moved to America and how great things are happening in her life today. While speaking she gives great examples of what a single story really is and how it made a great impact on her life. She thanks the danger of the story because it improved her writing and story telling tremendously.
Response : I definitely agree with her statement when it came to a single story. A single story to me is having only one side of a situation. For example, the same example used in the ted talk; when she moved to America she came right to school. Her American roommate expected her to come from poverty. She thought she never had a stove, or did anything as simple as she could've had in America. I actually do relate to her statement. When it comes to living in an apartment instead of a house, People tend to assume a lot of stuff but I'll always continue to be more than happy to clear the single stories people have about that.

Hey Joyce I definitely agree with you and I for sure relate to the part of the apartment and house that you mentioned because I live in an apartment as well and even tho some people ask questions about certain things that they think aren’t available in apartments it’s actually not that much of a difference and maybe some people don’t do it intentionally but are just exposed to the single story concept and might just it have enough knowledge of how apartments are actually like.
