Dear Adichie,
I agree with your opinion on feminism from what feminism is to how its perceived and implemented in our society. In my opinion I feel that the initial idea of a feminist is a women who hates men completely, is entitled to her opinion which leads to a negative light to be shown on the movement. Due to this I wouldn’t label myself a feminist per say but I do feel that men and women are equal in there own ways and this should be known. I recognize that both genders have their struggles and these ideas that are forced by society to be put on them for no reason in particular. Its interesting to see how people view men and women, for example when a women loses her virginity or has had intercourse with multiple people, it might be seen as a shameful act, where in a mans case, its respected. I would hope that throughout the years such issues are delt with because it only is a way to further divide our society. It bring about change, it only kills creativity and individuality.
