Summary
What feminism means to me is supporting the movement of women rights and the equality of genders. I do consider myself a feminist but I don’t really advocate as I should. Women deserve to be treated equally and have get the same recognition as men. Adichie stated “We teach girls to shrink themselves, to make themselves look smaller.” There will never be equality if we continue to tell girls to value themselves less than a man. Women should be able to play the same role and be as important as men in today society. When women accomplish something their success does not get recognized like a man usually would. People try to discredit women and think a man had to be involved with their success. Men think that women can't do anything without them but this isn't the case. There are many women who are examples in today's world that we can do the same and do it better than men can.
