Summary
Write a paragraph explaining what feminism means to you. Do you consider yourself a feminist? To me, feminism means mostly about women and how they are mistreated in multiple places and how people want them to be equal to men. Nowadays people still want that for women but now all genders want them to be equal. I don’t know if I’m a feminist I just want everyone to be equal.
Read/ watch: “We should all be feminists” by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. Write a paragraph explaining how Adichie defines feminism. Use at least 1 direct quote from “We should all be feminists.” Adichie definition of a feminist is a feminist is a man or a woman who says- a feminist is a man or a woman who says “Yes, there’s a problem with gender as it is today, and we must fix it. We must do better”. She defines feminism by telling stories of her life where she has experienced this, and other people have experienced this, and she tells us how to fix it and how we can change.

I appreciate your perspective on feminism and the emphasis on gender equality. It’s true that feminism is evolving to include a broader focus on equality for all genders. Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie’s definition of a feminist as someone who acknowledges the existing gender issues and actively seeks to address and improve them resonates with me. Her approach of sharing personal experiences and suggesting ways to create change is powerful and relatable.
