To me feminism is a movement that looks up for women and men have iqual rights. Even though i support this movement, i also feel like some people don’t conduct this movement the right way. In my opinion there’s certain feminist that look for more rights for women instead of iqual rights. Even though women did not have rights in the past, i feel like nowadays we have to look for equal rights for all. I don’t consider myself a feminist, but im also not against it.

In “We should all be feminists” by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, the author gives real life examples of why we should all support feminism. She gives an example of when she was in second grade, when her teacher was going to assign the class monitor position the student with higher grade on the next test. Adichie ended up having the highest grade, but the teacher gave the position to another student because he was a boy and Adichie was a women. Some other examples she talks about are about when waiters at a restaurant greet the men and not the women, a hotel guard that stopped her at the lobby because he assumed she was a sexual worker, when the most prestigious jobs are always given to men, etc. Her definition of feminism is “someone who recognizes that there’s a problem with gender as it is today, and we must fix it. We must do better.”
