This article speaks on how creators were able to find success posting videos off of the social media platform Snapchat. Creators were able to make millions of dollars by posting videos that waters are able to relate too. The article begins to speak on some peoples’ early success while using the app. The name of this feature is called spotlight, it is used to compete mainly with other rival platforms such as TikTok which had a lot of people’s interest at the moment. An example of this success is one of spotlights most successful users Cam Casey, which was able to make up to 3 million dollars by posting up to 120 videos of content from early in the day to late at night.
My social media experience has been somewhat good and bad. I mean that social media seems to take a lot of my time and causes me to be less productive, this made me think about the people who are my age or even younger pursing this spotlight career and juggling school at the same time. This article really opened my eyes because it really speaks on seizing your opportunity, and how there are chances to make money no matter what you are doing. This made me sort of put myself into these other people’s shoes thinking if I were to be able to post up too 120 videos a day and waking up at 8 in the morning to do so. This changed the way I used social media because I began thinking of how I can use social media to benefit me.
