Being a feminist wasn’t a choice for me, it just became the way of life for me. A feminist can be either boy or girl, it doesn’t have to be your problem for you to speak up for what’s right. The fact that women used to make only 25 cents a day to survive is beyond me, the only way a woman can live a decent life, if she married a man. We weren’t allowed to vote nor work. when Adichie quoted “” The higher you go, the fewer women there are” I totally understand and see the reality to that statement. It’s disgusting, women are looked at as slaves in a man’s world and for us to get this far, the work must be continued. Sticking up for women to be seen as equals is the only goal. We are more than our body, and we are finally demanding the world to acknowledge us as more. Yes, we still have to work 10x harder than a man, but allow the men to be comfortable for now while they run the world, because when women take over, they won’t be able to stop it. I will forever still be up for my gender, anything a man can do, a woman can do it. A man’s characteristics can always be learned and gained but a man can never do what a woman can do.
