Summary

Feminism means to me that men and women should have equal opportunities to get the same job payment, political elections, and fair human rights. But to be honest, I have never thought that identifying as a feminist can have what real effect on me. Because I have been educated that all human beings are equal, women are half of the part of the world, women exactly should get equal rights with no excuses. In my opinion, women are greater than men, they give birth to their babies, and raise them without any blame. Women should get more care and benefit from our society. As I grew up, I learned that there are many unequal situations for females in our society, But I believe, we can fix it.

In “We should all be feminists” by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie, the author gives us many examples that why feminism is a key factor in maintaining human society. When her children, even though she got good grades and had the ambition to be monitor, but she is a girl, the teacher gave this position to a second-grade boy. Society treats women in different sight, working in a hotel alone would be assumed as a sex worker and women can’t join the club if there is no man company. Adichie also gives us advice, like people should raise children in the same way, and education should be changed when they as children. Women should find their value, not only sacrifice for family. According to “Yes, there’s a problem with gender as it is today, and we must fix it. We must do better” (10). I also have positive thoughts and I am as optimistic as Ms. Adichie, I believe the world will treat equal to anyone, all human kinds.
