Summary
Hello, I'm Jessica! I'm a first-year student and my major is Undeclared Health. I plan to major in Nursing once I pass the HESI exam. As much as this class is simply a part of my prerequisites, I thoroughly enjoy reading and writing. I do not write much outside of journaling every now and then but, I believe writing is an extremely freeing and strong way to express something. Even in research essays, you have to prove your point and find things that best prove your initial statement.
Outside of reading and writing, I really enjoy listening to music and thrifting. My favorite animals are deer, especially fawns (cats come in at a very close second)! When it comes to English class I'm looking forward to improving my writing skills and getting better at essay formatting. Overall at BMCC, I'm looking forward to discovering how I will properly manage my school life with my home life (and eventually my work life). I also can't wait to fully take advantage of my resources here at BMCC, there are so many people whose whole job is just to help me succeed. I'm a little nervous, but it will shift to being more out of excitement than anything as time goes on.

Hi, Jessica! Going into Nursing sounds very arduous yet exciting. I agree with your belief that writing is very freeing and a strong way of expressing one’s thoughts. I often use poetry as a means of clearing my thoughts. I love music and deers/cats as well. My favorite song right now is “Objects in the Mirror” by Mac Miller. I’m sure that your time at BMCC will help you in more ways than you think!
