The research article overall proved through statistics the effect thinspo and fitspo videos had as it speaks on how these TikToks only aided in creating self esteem problems among women and how body dissatisfaction increased among those who watched. The article also states that the participants of this study were recruited from an Introduction to Psychology course at a large university. It also mentioned the positive effect body appreciation TikToks had on the women who watched such content as they reported feeling satisfied with their body.

There are a few people in the article that talk about their lives in comparison to Social Media in how it operates like an addiction, and when you recognize this you will better understand yourself why you’re using it, do u need a limit on its usage or is it better to get rid of it all together. While some may reap more benefits of getting rid of it, others feel its absence may make the feel the same way as the people who get rid of it.
