I know the only place for me is the center of fashion and world-class creative talent which lead me to jump on a plane and move to New York City.
Upon entering NYC’s Garment District for work, I faced the quick-paced and constantly shifting environment that fashion demands. Luckily I didn’t have to do it alone, for I had become the youngest employee hired at Mood Fabrics and their company was not going to let me fall behind.
There, I was a sponge for knowledge. Soaking up the pieces of advice from customers and my coworkers, lead me into the community of artists I am in now.
During the 2020 lockdown, I spent most of my time cutting apart old discarded couches. Some were off the streets of NYC, or from the free section on craigslist, others were from crowdsourcing on social media, which steered me into the creation of my clothing line in NYC.
