Speaking at a town hall meeting would be a good way to bring awareness to families to know what is going on with their children. Teachers will make flyers and send them home with students and send emails to families so they can join and attend the meeting. At the meeting, explain to families how technology affects children’s cognitive development and how it affects children’s thinking and their focus in school. Also show ways on how parents can limit technology in their homes and give examples. Teachers have the role of spreading the word and inviting people to the meeting so many families know about this. They would also be responsible for making handouts with information about how technology affects children. At the end of meeting, ask parents for feedback and what they thought about what was presented. |
