Hunter College Code fest is a winter semester competition for comp-sci majors attending the college. During the spring semester of 2021 I participated in this competition. However, I was not a comp-sci major. Instead, I focused my higher education in the liberal arts and received an Associates in Writing and Literature at the Borough of Manhattan Community College (BMCC) in Tribeca, New York. To further enhance my college degree, I pursued my Bachelors in Art History at CUNY, Hunter College.
For the fall semester of 2021, this years competition reflected on how to engage back with nature after the COVID-19 epidemic. With my knowledge of user experience after having graduated from a 2-month long UX/UI summer bootcamp with CUNY, I overlooked the visual identity of my teams application. Through design, I was able to make our brand accessible. In addition, I used behavioral analysis, information Architecture, low and high fidelity wireframes on figma to identify the structure of the app. From here I prototyped the frames of each button and screen of the application.
