The 4-1-1

Week 11 Passion-Perspective-Purpose Informative Speech Outlines

Happy Monday,

Your Midterm pieces are looking good! I have already graded a few and they are really well done. If you have not completed the midterm yet, please do so soonest and be sure you are identifying at least 3 specific tools or techniques the speech maker uses to convey their message, things like metaphor, repetition, personal story… use quotes from the speech as reference and to prove your point. Remember, there is a presentation component as well as an analysis component. Review the assignment details on BB or OpenLab for clarity. Also, check out the samples in OpenLab under “The Best of the Best”.

I hope this exploration will help set you up for success as we move into our final 2 speeches.

For this week,

Passion-Perspective-Purpose What do you care about? What do you love? What is important to you? An informative speech is a great way to share your passions.
