All,
I am really enjoying the personal touches to make your special occasion speeches your own. Please be sure you are reviewing the speech requirements. The special occasion speech should be between 2-3 minutes. ALL speeches must have a formal outline. Remember you need 3 complete sentences, Intro, Body and Conclusion and bullet points in between for the details to keep you on track. The intro should tell us the who, what, when, and why of the speech. A strong conclusion will help you organize your thoughts. I’m looking forward to your continued growth and improvement.
For next week,
Week 8 Tell Me-Teach Me-Involve Me Share something you enjoy. Tell us about it. Show us how to enjoy it too. Break it down into steps so we can follow along and learn.

DB 8: Post your “How to” speech presentation and outline.
Watch 2 classmate’s speeches and offer feedback, 2 pros and a grow. (This is part of your grade, we learn from observing and analyzing each others styles, choices, and organization, please be sure you are participating)
Have fun with this. Teach us something you already know how to do, share a passion or hobby. Be creative with setting the stage, if you are teaching us how to make brownies, set up in your kitchen cooking show style, if you are going to teach us how to Kick Box, set up the workout space, if you are going to teach us how to dress for an interview make a YouTube style show out of it and actually show us making the choices and the final outfit.
Week 8 concludes Phase 2 of the course. All Phase 1 & 2 work should be submitted by Sunday 10/24 as 12 midnight. This includes your Introduction, Special Occasion and How To Speeches.
Please look at your schedule and make yourself a plan to get the work done, schedule it in, commit to the time and put in the effort. If you need help with this, let me know. Time management is a skill you will need for the rest of your life, let’s work on it now.
Looking forward to learning something new.
